Inspirational Words From Successful People [Video] #5MinMotivation

If there was a room filled with people who excelled in their field and achieved success, would you walk in?  Would you be open to what they had to tell you?  If your initial answer is yes, take a moment and think again.  You have access to so much wisdom and words from almost anyone you feel achieved success.  Books, Podcasts and the Internet give you access to how successful people think.  So what is stopping you from really listening?

It’s easy for me to listen but not always easy to hear what is really being said.  I know that if I truly “heard”, then it would be easy to take action.  Life gets in the way and then the words I thought I heard get drowned with the busyness of the every day.  This reminds me of a parable from the bible.

Matthew 13:3-9New International Version (NIV)

“A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

This is why Personal Development needs to be a daily thing.  “Life” gets in the way.  It can be easy to let the struggles and sometimes even the comforts choke your desire for growth.  Make a daily investment in yourself, so that you can remove the weeds as they come.

Think of the following YouTube video from MotivationGrid as a chance to walk into that room of successful people.  This time, take the time to take notes.
